FAQs
- I cannot change between English and Spanish audio
- I cannot control the volume
- The audio is choppy
- The audio is not synchronized with the video
- During installation, this error message appears on
my screen: "You don't have sufficient priveleges"
- During installation, this error message appears
on my screen:"The following file is in use and can not be updated:
C:\WINDOWS\FONTS\KING.TTF"
- During installation, this error message appears on my
screen:"WindowsNT is incompatible with this program"
- The CD is not automatically installing to my computer
- I cannot login
- My computer freezes while I am running the program
- The program is running slowly
- I cannot change between English and Spanish
audio To change between English and Spanish audio before you have
logged in:
- Click on the NetSmartz icon located on your desktop
- You can choose between English and Spanish audio by typing in
one of the login variations at the login screen
To change between English and Spanish audio after you have logged in:
- Click on the Options button at the bottom of either
the Clickys Web World menu or the NetSmartz
Rules menu
- Within the Options menu, click on the language of
your choice
- I cannot control the volume
Once you have logged in, you can easily change the volume level by completing
the following steps:
- Click on the Options button at the bottom of either
the Clickys Web World menu or the NetSmartz
Rules menu
- Within the Options menu, click on the desired volume
level
- The audio is choppy
Choppy or warbled audio can be caused by various factors. Click on one
or both of the following links to learn about possible solutions to this
problem:
- Change computer settings
- Update DirectX
- The audio is not synchronized with the
video
Audio and video can come out of sync for a number of reasons. Click on
one or both of the following links to learn about possible solutions to
this problem:
- Change computer settings
- Update DirectX
- During installation, this error message appears
on my screen: "You don't have sufficient priveleges"
Some software requires you login to your computer with a User Id and Password
with administrator rights. Make sure the User Id and Password you are
using has those rights
- During installation, this error message appears
on my screen:"The following file is in use and can not be updated:
C:\WINDOWS\FONTS\KING.TTF"
This error message refers to a font that may already be installed on your
computer. You will be given the option to either "Retry" or
"Cancel." Click on the "Cancel" button to continue
with the installation. This should not cause any problems with the installation
process.
- During installation, this error message appears
on my screen:"WindowsNT is incompatible with this program"
This error message is not referring to the installation of the Netsmartz
program as a whole. It is merely referring to a supplemental program called
"Mixman," which is a part of the Dance Studio installation.
Although Mixman will be installed on your system, the other vital programs
will be unaffected. Click on "OK" to complete the installation
process.
- The CD is not automatically installing to my computer
Your computer may not be recognizing the autorun file, which notifies
the computer to automatically run the install program. In this case, you
can run the install program by completing the following steps:
- Check to make sure the CD is in the correct CD drive
- Click on the My Computer icon located on your desktop
- Click on the drive that contains your CD
- Click on the "NetSmartz_Setup.exe" file to begin installation
- I cannot login
If you cannot login, you are probably using an incorrect login name. Try
one of the following login names listed below:

- My computer freezes while I am running
the program
Computers can freeze up for a number of reasons. Click on one or both
of the following links to learn about possible solutions to this problem:
- Change computer settings
- Update DirectX
- The program is running slowly
Once you have logged in, you can easily change the volume level by completing
the following steps:
- Click on the Options button at the bottom of either
the Clickys Web World menu or the NetSmartz
Rules menu
- Within the Options menu, click on the desired volume
level
Changing Computer Settings
Select your operating system:
- Windows 98
- Windows 2000
- Windows Millennium
- Windows XP
Changing Computer Settings: Windows 98
Change your QuickTime settings by completing the following steps:
- Click on the "start" button of your toolbar
- Click on "Settings"
- Click on "Control Panel"
- Click on the QuickTime icon
- Select “Video Settings” from the pull-down menu
- Uncheck the box labeled, "Enable DirectDraw Acceleration"
Changing Computer Settings: Windows 2000
Change your QuickTime settings by completing the following steps:
- Click on the "start" button of your toolbar
- Click on "Settings"
- Click on "Control Panel"
- Click on the QuickTime icon
- Select “Video Settings” from the pull-down menu
- Uncheck the box labeled, "Enable DirectDraw Acceleration"
Change your audio-acceleration settings by completing the following steps:
- Click on the "start" button of your toolbar
- Click on "Run"
- Type in "dxdiag" then click OK--this will open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool
- Click on the "Sound" tab
- Move the slider for "Hardware Sound Acceleration Level" to the far left
- Click on the "Exit" button to close the DirectX Diagnostic Tool
Changing Computer Settings: Windows Millennium
Change your QuickTime settings by completing the following steps:
- Click on the "start" button of your toolbar
- Click on "Settings"
- Click on "Control Panel"
- Click on the QuickTime icon
- Select “Video Settings” from the pull-down menu
- Uncheck the box labeled, “Enable DirectDraw Acceleration"
Changing Computer Settings: XP
Change your QuickTime settings by completing the following steps:
- Click on the "start" button of your toolbar
- Click on "Settings"
- Click on "Control Panel"
- Click on the QuickTime icon
- Select “Video Settings” from the pull-down menu
